About Our Organization
Four Corners Homeschool Network is a group of Florida
parent-teachers, in the Polk, Osceola, Orange and Lake county areas.
Mission Statement
It is our mission to provide support to our members, our children,
and the growing community, through classes and other educational
activities.
History
FCHN was create by a group of friends in the four corners area of
Florida in January 2006. We were all excited to have events and
activities in our immediate area. We simply started with allowing our
children to get together and play at the local park. After learning more
about each families interest and needs, we decided to try a few field
trips. Our first two events were Spanish class and gymnastics. It was
great. We did gymnastics for over a year.
This past fall we decided to tray several new ideas. We started going
ice skating as our once a month ongoing field trip as well as both an
Art and Music Appreciation class. Through out the year we also went
on several other field trips to places like the history museum in
Orlando, Green Meadows Farm, Orlando Magic Home school Night,
a trip to the local Fire station to learn fire safety.
In addition to all the acitivities we plan as a group several of our
members are also members of other organizations. They participate
in groups such as 4-H, and sports organizations like South Lake
YMCA, Ridge Youth Soccer Club, Simonsen's Tae Kwon Do, and the
new Davenport Bolts Football team. Visit the links above to learn
